Similar to grade 1 but with three good sides, a higher
degree of defects/splitting, but still retaining consistent
quality, size & shape, generally square ends with more
splitting. They will exhibit decay where the original
railway fittings have been removed, but retain a high
level of structural integrity.
Creosote treated (must be handled with gloves & usage restrictions apply)
Applications/ideas:
Still suitable for landscape / garden applications where
a more rustic appearance is required. Perfect for
industrial applications such as aggregate bays, roadway
demarcations and kerb edgings.
