OSB is a high performance wood based product, which has become one of the most popular building products, increasingly replacing plywood in the construction industry.
OSB has outstanding technical and physical characteristics. Combined with the many different size options, these characteristics mean that OSB can increase the distance between supporting beams and reduce the specified thickness of the panels. Interior designers appreciate the freedom they have in selecting clear coloured finishes using coatings, wax and oils.
OSB 3 is "conditioned" prior to leaving the factory, to a minimum moisture content of 5%. This pre-conditioning reduces the dimensional movement, offering better overall dimensional stability in use.
